To OAC’s members, supporters and followers:
Like you, OAC has been paying close attention to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Thankfully, our hardworking staff is equipped to work remote, so rest assured, OAC will be able to continue to operate and represent your needs and interests during these uncertain times.
We’ve always stood on our pillars of support, education, advocacy and awareness, and we know these things are especially important to you right now. That is why in addition to continuing our normal operations, we want to share with you other resources you may find helpful during this time.
OAC’s Community Member Discussion Forum. With social distancing recommendations, it’s more important than ever to surround yourself with support and encouragement. You can chat virtually with other OAC Members in our Discussion Forum about topics and concerns that matter to you.
Health Education. We recognize that your normal routine may be disrupted, including habits related to your health and wellness. Over the next couple of weeks, we will share plenty of health education to help you maintain healthy habits related to weight management, exercise, nutrition, mental health, engaging activities for your family while at home, etc.
Patient Resources. We also want to continue supporting you in your healthcare, and plan to share ongoing resources to help you with access to providers, medications and supplements, working with your insurance provider and more.
All of these resources will be provided via the OAC Blog/News Roll, social media pages, Discussion Forum and other communications. Our social media pages are linked to the social icons on OAC’s main website.
OAC is also carefully monitoring this situation as we approach our Annual Convention in the next four months. OAC feels hopeful that with YWM2020 taking place in July, we will be able to continue planning for another great event and welcome you at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa, July 9-11. As always, the health and safety of our attendees, supporters and staff is of utmost importance, so we will continue to keep you updated along the way.
At the center of OAC’s purpose is a commitment to serve, and it’s something we take to heart at all times – even now. This is why we’ll be working hard to continue supporting you, your loved ones and your communities. We’re here for you.
– Your friends at the OAC
