Tampa, Fla. – The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), a national nonprofit organization, has partnered with Allergan, Inc., on the Choosing Health over Obesity Inspiring Change through Empowerment (C.H.O.I.C.E.) campaign to encourage all those affected by obesity to raise their voice and sign the C.H.O.I.C.E. campaign petition. The OAC has pledged to offer 1,000 FREE one-year OAC memberships to any individuals who sign on to the C.H.O.I.C.E. campaign petition.

As the only nonprofit organization representing those affected by obesity, the OAC knows first-hand the power of effective and proactive advocacy. The CHOICES Campaign aims to spread awareness of the importance of obesity prevention and treatment efforts, and by signing the CHOICES petition, individuals can let their voices be heard by key decision makers. Petitioners can opt-in to receive a free one-year membership in the OAC, which entitles them to many valuable benefits, such as a subscription to the OAC’s quarterly educational and advocacy publication Your Weight Matters Magazine, access to all of the OAC’s educational resources and most importantly representation on both the state and federal level.

“The OAC is very proud to provide memberships to all those signing on to the petition. We greatly value and recognize the importance of advocacy in increasing access to safe and effective treatment options for the disease of obesity. Being a member in the OAC is one of the easiest and most effective ways an individual can advocate for change,” said Joseph Nadglowski, OAC President and CEO.
