Tampa , FL –The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) is proud to celebrate its one-year anniversary as one of the leading patient-focused nonprofit obesity/morbid obesity organizations.

Throughout the past year, the OAC accomplished tremendous strides in the obesity community. With the introduction of the OAC’s latest brochure, titled “Understanding Obesity,” the OAC continues to build an excellent source of valuable materials for those affected by obesity.

In addition to educational resources, the OAC continues to produce many one-of-a-kind advocacy resources to educate patients about access to care issues. To date, the OAC has distributed more than 15,000 advocacy guides across the United States.

“This past year has truly been phenomenal for the OAC. We’ve reached tens of thousands of patients, family members and healthcare professionals throughout the country. Since our formation, we have expanded our resources which continue to offer members the most up-to-date information. Looking ahead, the OAC will continue to educate the public on obesity and morbid obesity, increase obesity education, work to improve access to medical treatments for patients with obesity and strive to eliminate the negative stigma associated with all types of obesity,” said Joseph Nadglowski, Jr., OAC President and CEO.
