Saturday, August 17 is National Non-Profit Day. On this day, we celebrate and recognize nonprofits and the impact of their world-changing work! From local and state communities to our entire nation and globe, nonprofits dedicate all of their time to making the world a better place for us to live in.
You Can Easily Celebrate National Non-Profit Day with the OAC!
The OAC is a 501 (c)(3) national nonprofit organization. Our mission is to elevate and empower those who are affected by obesity through education, awareness, advocacy and support. We can’t do that without the help of our Community Members and supporters!
In honor of National Non-Profit Day, will you consider participating in one or more of these Five Meaningful Ways to give back and make change with the OAC?
1) Join the OAC Community
Are you not yet a member of the OAC Community? It’s NO COST to join, so JOIN NOW! Enjoy great weight, health and wellness education; find support for your health journey; connect with others who share similar concerns and interests; and take action on obesity-related issues that matter to you.
2) Make a Donation
Directly support the OAC’s everyday work with a general donation of your choosing, or check-out our Donor Program for easy and fun alternative ways to give.
3) Visit the OAC Action Center
The OAC Action Center is your one-stop-shop for easy and meaningful ways to act on issues that matter to you. Issues like weight bias, access to care, obesity education, and awareness. Explore the different action categories and try something that sparks your interest.
4) Share More about You
What brought you to the OAC? What encouraged you to become a Community Member? How are you connected to obesity and what drives you to support our cause? Share about who you are, your story and your personal experiences by:

5) Connect with another OAC Member
OAC Members empowering other members is invaluable. To connect with another OAC Member, visit our Discussion Forum! Talk about thought-provoking topics related to weight and health, support someone who is asking for resources or encouragement, and don’t be afraid to ask questions too.
