On October 15th, OAC’s President and CEO Joe Nadglowski met with the White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC). He was joined by Hannah Martin from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Dr. Fatima Stanford from Harvard/Mass General.

The OAC was asked to contribute to the conversation about efforts to expand providers under Medicare Part B and problems with Medicare Part D, which prohibits obesity medication. Additionally, they discussed the consequences of untreated obesity, inequities, and the impact obesity has had on COVID-19.

The OAC is the nation’s leading grassroots obesity organization with the mission to elevate and empower people affected by obesity through education, advocacy, and support. We are proud to represent the patient’s voice and work hard to impact change and build a better world for people living with obesity.
