Tampa, Fla. – This week marks the opening of registration for the Obesity Action Coalition’s (OAC) 2013 Your Weight Matters National Convention – “Rise to the Challenge.” This year’s Convention will take place August 15 – 18 in Phoenix at the beautiful Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.

“We are so excited to kick-off this year’s Convention. The feedback we received from our Inaugural Meeting last year was outstanding and our members and followers have been contacting us daily, eagerly awaiting the opening of registration. Since registration opening just a few days ago, we are seeing new folks register every day and our room block is already half full in just a couple days. We are on track to exceed our attendance from last year and get more individuals educated about weight and health,” said Joe Nadglowski, OAC President and CEO.

Last year’s Convention truly set the mark as the premier educational event for individuals wanting to learn more about how weight and health go hand-in-hand. This year’s Convention promises to once again offer attendees the latest evidence-based information on weight and health from the country’s leading experts.

“There is so much information out there on weight and health. Unfortunately, a lot of this information is not valid and often leads to people feeling frustrated and confused. The Your Weight Matters Convention exists to bring clarity and understanding. The Convention will arm you, in a friendly setting, with the tools needed to manage your weight and improve your health,” said Pam Davis, RN, CBN, BSN, OAC Chairman.

Brand new this year, the OAC has launched a Web site dedicated solely to the Convention. Located at www.YWMConvention.com, the new site features all the information you need to attend the Convention, such as registration information, the Program Agenda, travel and lodging details, sponsorship and exhibitor materials, special events information and much more!

Rise to the challenge and join the OAC in Phoenix at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa for the 2013 Your Weight Matters National Convention. It will be an event you do not want to miss!

The OAC is a National nonprofit charity dedicated to helping individuals affected by obesity. The OAC was formed to bring together individuals struggling with weight issues and provide educational resources and advocacy tools.
