Registration for the OAC’s Your Weight Matters Engage Convention is now open! We invite you to join us July 14-16 at Westin Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, NV, for our re-envisioned, in-person Convention event. YWM2022-Engage is designed for those who want to take that deeper dive into weight and health education, while also focusing on making connections and learning how to take action to advance our cause. YWM2022-Engage offers a variety of science-based educational topics to meet the diverse needs of our community. The program will present six topics over two days presented by leading experts in the field. All of the topics were intentionally picked with the needs of our Community in mind, including sessions on the challenging negative self-talk, the genetics of obesity and new discoveries in obesity science. The weekend will also present hands-on workshops, advocacy trainings, social events and meaningful connection opportunities.

This year our Convention events focus on Education, Connection and Action. 

  • Education: At YWM2022-Engage, you’ll learn science-based education and proven weight and health management strategies through engaging sessions on the genetics of obesity and the future of obesity science presented by leading experts in the field.
  • Connection: Make lifelong friendships with people JUST LIKE YOU at YWM2022-Engage. You will connect with others who are passionate about all things weight and health and who will support you throughout your journey.
  • Action: Learn how to take action for obesity as a cause! Your passion for taking control of your weight and health means that you are already an advocate for yourself and for others affected by obesity. YWM2022-Engage will teach you how to use your lived experience to amplify your voice and build a better world for people living with obesity.

Because the health and safety of our Convention attendees is our top priority, we have re-designed the in-person meeting to be a limited-capacity event. The OAC will sell up to 125 tickets to YWM2022 Engage, available on a first-come, first-served basis. We anticipate the tickets selling out, so be sure to get your tickets early!
