OAC President and CEO Joe Nadglowski was awarded the ASMBS Service of Distinction Award
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Treatment, Research, and Education to End Obesity (TREO) Foundation honored OAC President and CEO Joe Nadglowski during their annual meeting in Las Vegas. ASMBS presented Joe with the ASMBS Service of Distinction Award for his more than 18 years of continued service in patient advocacy for people living with obesity. The TREO Foundation also recognized Joe for his efforts in the fight against obesity, bias and stigma with a prestigious award sponsored by Medtronic.

“I am humbled and honored to receive these awards. ASMBS and the TREO Foundation are the OAC’s longest-standing allies in the fight for people living with the disease of obesity. Both organizations have long supported OAC’s efforts, and we’re grateful for their continued dedication to patients,” said Joe Nadglowski.

The OAC also represented our members at the annual meeting with an exhibit booth where we showcased OAC materials and helped educate attendees on important issues, such as weight bias in healthcare.
