May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month! According to DNPAO (CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity), physical activity can improve mental health, and quality of life, immediately improve sleep quality, boost the immune system, and lower the risk of several long-lasting diseases, such as heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. The OAC encourages you to use this month to make physical activity a priority and get creative with new types of exercises!
