We are excited to welcome two incredible individuals to the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) Board of Directors in 2025! Both bring unique expertise and a deep passion for supporting the OAC’s mission to improve the lives of individuals affected by obesity.
Meet Kesha Calicutt
Kesha Calicutt is an educator, health advocate and founding member of the OAC’s Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce. As a special education teacher and Education Advisory Member for The Educator Collective, she has worked tirelessly to create inclusive environments and empower others. Kesha has been a passionate supporter of the OAC since attending its first Your Weight Matters National Convention in Dallas in 2012, always faithfully supporting efforts to reduce obesity stigma and improve access to resources.
A proud Texan, Kesha loves spending time with her family, exploring new fitness activities and volunteering in her community. Her commitment to empowering individuals and advancing health equality makes her an inspiring addition to the Board.
Meet Angela Fitch, MD, FACP, FOMA
Dr. Angela Fitch is a nationally recognized leader in obesity medicine. As the Immediate-Past President of the Obesity Medicine Association and Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of knownwell, she is committed to delivering unbiased, non-stigmatizing care for individuals with obesity.
Dr. Fitch has an impressive background, including serving as the Co-Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Weight Center, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard University, and a founding member of the Massachusetts Coalition for Action on Obesity. With board certifications in obesity medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics, her expertise and dedication to improving obesity care will be invaluable to the OAC.
