OAC Society Partnership Program
The OAC is a nationwide coalition dedicated to giving a voice to individuals affected by obesity through education, advocacy and support. That’s why the OAC developed a unique program specifically for professional healthcare societies to get their members more engaged in the care and the broader issues in obesity – the OAC Society Partnership Program!
The OAC’s Society Partnership Program is a unique program that allows professional societies to offer OAC Premium Access Membership to their members at a discounted rate of $10/each (Premium Access Membership is typically $25). This program was started in 2012 and has since welcomed partners like the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) and The Obesity Society (TOS) who share in the common goal of addressing and treating the important issues people affected by obesity face!
When your members purchase a Premium Access Membership they’ll have access to a wide variety of exclusive benefits, including resources intended for healthcare professionals that address pivotal issues in the patient community such as weight bias and advocacy/access to care. The OAC produces and distributes unbiased and unbranded patient education that members can request for their waiting rooms or to give to their patients – all FREE of charge as a member of the OAC!
By supporting a strong, independent organization like the OAC through membership, professional societies, can help to become active advocates and spread the important message of the need for obesity awareness and access to care for people affected by obesity, and will be a part of a Community that believes this too. If you are a member of a professional society, and/or have an interest in taking part in the OAC’s Society Partnership Program, please contact Lisa Gresco-White at (800) 717-3117 or email@example.com.
