Childhood obesity affects more than 14.7 million children and teens in the U.S., affecting their physical and emotional health in lasting ways. At the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), we believe no family should face this journey alone. Through education, resources and a strong community of support, we’re here to help children and families thrive.
This September, during National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, we’re offering free resources to help families address the physical, emotional and social aspects of childhood obesity — from building healthy habits to preventing bullying and understanding treatment options.
What You’ll Find:
- Understanding Childhood Obesity: Learn about causes, effects and treatment options
- Family Support: Tips and tools to create healthier routines together
- Bullying Prevention: Strategies to address bias and strengthen self-image
All resources are free this month. For year-round access to even more tools and programs, consider becoming an OAC Community+ Member for just $20/year!
