Obesity Action Coalition Disappointed by
“American Idol” Comments

On January 26, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) recently released a news release via U.S. Newswire stating its disappointment regarding the recent comments of an “American Idol” judge, which targeted an obese female competing on the popular television show.

On February 1, the OAC sent letters to FOX, 19 Entertainment Limited and FremantleMedia North America, Inc. expressing disappointment in the recent discriminatory comments made by "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell.
